I am one of the most flexible nurses with over 20 years of experience working mostly in ICU environments including Shock Trauma, Burns and Neurosurgery. Other areas worked include acute care settings, psych, float pool, and even correctional nursing. Being willing to take on new and interesting work challenges has always made my work a little more colorful and rewarding.

Initially accept a position in the ER since I had never worked in this area and this is a newly construction level one hospital. Responsibilities included emergent care for all patients including infants to geriatric care. After a year an opening in Shock Trauma ICU opened up and I transferred departments.

Since I had corrections experience and knew the owner of Cascade Staffing I took a spot for something different to do other work than Harborview. Went back to work at King County Jail and Monroe Correctional Facility on a part time basis but on occasion would work Overlake's ICUs.

Jail nursing included several position including direct patient care when in charge of the infirmary. Assessing inmate medical needs in a triage setting, med passes, emergency calls, and assessing inmate health concerns when being booked into jail.
R.N. - Burn ICU, Harborview Medical Center-325 9th Ave, Seattle, WA, Feb 2000 - Aug 2008
Full time and part time staff nurse providing pt care and charge nurse responsibilities. Focus was on patients with large burns but also included patients with large traumatic wounds. This unit also included a pediatric ICU specializing in pediatric burns and all trauma cases.
